Internship Overview
Phytech is seeking motivated and reliable college students for a Seasonal Summer Internship to support field operations during the 2026 growing season. This hands-on role is ideal for students interested in agriculture, precision Ag, engineering, or environmental sciences who want practical, real-world experience working directly in the field.
Interns will gain exposure to advanced agricultural technology while collaborating with growers and internal teams. The role provides opportunities to learn about precision agriculture sensors, irrigation management, crop production, and field-based research and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and operation of precision agriculture sensors
Support day-to-day field operations across active grower sites
Collect field data and assist with basic equipment troubleshooting
Learn and support irrigation management and crop-growing practices
Interact professionally with growers and provide basic customer support as needed
Assist with research and development activities related to field operations
Maintain accurate field notes and communicate observations to internal teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous farming or agricultural field experience
Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred, not required)
Strong work ethic with a positive, customer-focused attitude
Comfortable using technology and learning new tools and systems
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, sun, and wind
Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends during peak agricultural periods
