"CWAC positions us within a community dedicated to the same goal.” / Isaac Kramer Head of Sustainability Data

We’re proud to share that Phytech has joined the California Water Action Collaborative (CWAC), just as the organization celebrates its 10-year anniversary.

Since 2015, CWAC has united private-sector companies and nonprofits with the goal of helping California address its critical water challenges.

CWAC’s members include General Mills, Google, PepsiCo,, The Coca-Cola Company,  the Bonneville Environmental Foundation and the Pacific Institute Agricultural leaders, including OFI, AC Foods, and Blue Diamond Growers are also key members of CWAC. Together CWAC members have implemented over 50 on-the-ground water stewardship projects across the state.

“We are honored to have joined CWAC,” says Isaac Kramer, Phytech’s Head of Sustainability Data, who leads Phytech’s participation in CWAC. “Every day, Phytech’s customers in California are using our technology to make irrigation decisions that ensure optimal yields, while also saving water. CWAC positions us within a community of organizations dedicated to the same goal.”

Born out of California’s historic drought, CWAC has become a rare platform where diverse – and sometimes competing – organizations can work side-by-side. Together, CWAC members  have advanced projects ranging from forest restoration and leak detection to regenerative agriculture and groundwater recharge. Their collaboration is a powerful example of what can happen when shared challenges are met with shared commitment.

For Phytech, water stewardship has always started in the field. Our role is to support a win-win-win:

  • Growers get clearer insight into what their trees truly need. With real-time plant data and Daisy, our Farm-AI in-field agent, Phytech users  irrigate with confidence, grow stronger yields, and lead sustainable practices rooted in plant demand.

  • Water resources are used more responsibly. very drop goes further when irrigation matches real crop needs.

  • Consumers benefit from healthier produce grown in a more sustainable way.

As water stress intensifies across California, CWAC’s action-oriented, place-based approach is more important than ever. The unified approach that CWAC promotes is a model for other water-stressed regions around the world.

We’re honored to join this community and to contribute our field-level perspective to the next decade of collaborative water stewardship.

Growing better, together – one drop at a time.
