While our Australian pecan growers prepare for harvest, out here in the northern hemisphere, (New-Mexico, USA, to be exact) @felix Baron from our team, places plant-sensors, as trees' growth accelerates.
Those sensors measure micro-variations in stem diameter, which Phytech's algorithm translates into real-time plant status. Growers can then easily understand their trees' real-time water demand and optimize irrigation accordingly by avoiding yield-affecting stress and over irrigation.
Pressure switches are also placed to help growers monitor irrigation performance, get push alerts if something's wrong and compare actual irrigation to Phytech's recommendation.
Growing pecans and being a farmer isn't easy. We're just trying to make it a little less hard. Welcome to the Plant-based Farming revolution
